The benefits to meeting in a group are to many to list. but here is a short list.
  • Groups give too our over all sense of normalcy.
  • Opens up a greater number of areas / issues for other members to identify with and resolve fast.
  • Affordability and breadth of service.

Not all issues are so easily identified that a client can walk in off the street and say, "Help me with _____!" Being in a group will permit you to work out the small stuff. Working out the small stuff often allows a clearer image of the root issues.

Group fees vary by group longevity, size and time allocated per session. Generally speaking the fees range between $10 - $40 per session, per person. Normally including Therapist, books, workbooks, and other such teaching materials.

Group duration: Many groups are set to run for a specified time. This type of group is referred to as a Workshop or Seminar.  Other groups such as Weight Mastery and User Defined Groups are ongoing (6 weeks or more). 

What to expect from a group processing session:

  • Thought for the day through a presentation (sharing / reflection).
  • Re-educative lecture sessions (information / practical guidelines).
  • Group activities (to reinforce the educational components).
  • Group therapy (open sharing / mutual understanding and support) 
  • Goal focus and future planning.
  • Relaxation therapy 
  • (When appropriate) Support partners.
  • Individual counseling (to deal with personal issues / develop individualized treatment plan) 
  • Scheduling for private session (On request).
